What tattoo shops are doing $20 pieces today?

It is my understanding that at events like that the artists are usually just offering a particular design or maybe a small selection of designs. That way the artist can turn customers around with minimal muss and fuss. It’s cool if you want what they’ve got and don’t mind that 20 other people just got the same tattoo as you. Not so cool if you like your body art custom.

Why would you pay cheap for a crappy tattoo?

Not saying price equals quality, but I tend to go for an artist’s reputation over the price of a tattoo, because a tattoo is kinda perminant!

The shops doing the specials have a pretty good reputation, I wouldn’t go to just any shop its pretty much a NYC tradition.
