Will Apple add Siri to the new iPad?

Asked by 2davidc8 (10189points) August 28th, 2012

The iPhone 4S has Siri, the new iPad does not. I heard rumors that Apple would put Siri on the new iPad, but then I’ve not heard anything more about this. Does anyone know?

If they do, would it be done as an update to the OS?

According to some sources on the internet, Siri wil be for the iPad 3 and possibly iPad 2. This is only what I’ve read so don’t take my word for it. I only wish Siri would be available for iPod Touch but I hear it’s due to processor capabilities.

To anyone who may be looking here for info.
I found out that the “new iPad” (the one that came after iPad 2), comes initially with the iOS 5 operating system, which does not include Siri. But you can then download and upgrade the operating system to iOS 6, which will add Siri to the iPad.
Who knows, by the time you read this, the more recently manufactured iPads may come with iOS 6 already installed.
