What is wrong with my camera display?

Asked by rojo (24179points) December 13th, 2012

I bought a replacement display for my Olympus camera. I installed it but the picture it displayed has an overall red tint to it and the shadows are almost black.
The supplier returned my money but will not tell me whether this is normal with their screens or whether there is something wrong with this particular one.
I want one that shows the colors the way I think they should be but do not want to reorder if I am going to get the same results.
So, what is wrong with this display? Could it possibly be that I have not installed it correctly or is it actually a defective product?

It sounds like you were getting an incorrect display alert that a flash was being configured. Go to a showroom and look at their models, but it was probably just defective.
