How will you make next Sunday super without football?

Asked by Pachy (18610points) January 28th, 2013

With all due respect to the passionate football fans among you, I for one couldn’t care a whit about Super Bowl XLVII, even less so the days of endless speculation and analysis leading up to and following it. If you share my passionate indifference, what are you planning to do that day? Anything super? Me, I’m avoiding TV and catching up on a good book.

One of my friends is running a dance workshop. I could go to that.

But I won’t.

I love the SUPERBOWL!!!!!

…and I love people who love the Super Bowl. Honest.

I’m going to my friends party but I could care less about football, just going to have a cocktail and hang out I guess. And I’ll sneak a book in my bag as well and hide if I get bored…lol

Reminds me back when Xena Warrior Princess played on cable TV, but during the superbowl it was cancelled. Pissed me off. But now I have the Xena box sets, so I’m gonna watch some.

“Downton Abbey,” episode 5, on PBS at 9:00PM.

My Sunday will be super as soon as 10am rolls around. That’s when the parents of four 9 year old girls will be coming to pick them up after a sleepover at our house. These girls have a habit of staying up very late when they get together. Sunday will be a nice lazy day as soon as they leave.

btw- I love football. I’m hoping to see the Ravens lose. They beat my Broncos. grrr

I don’t even know who is playing. I will have just gotten my foot operated on and plan to medicate herbally so I’ll be on the couch chillin in my boot eating food which I’ve made my boyfriend bring me, high as a kite, probably laughing at Trailer Park Boys….sounds fucking super to me.

Maybe I’ll go bowling. I didn’t realize that was so soon.

I’m oblivious to the Super Bowl, so I’ll be doing whatever I’d ordinarily be doing. I might tune in to the Puppy Bowl for a little while though, but as cute as that is, it gets tedious after a while so not for long.

My Sunday will also be super at 10:00 am. My daughter will be at a friend’s, so I can roll over, and go back to sleep.

Oh, are they having the Super Bowl again?
Maybe I’ll be gettin’ Super Laid.
More likely, just reading some Super Books.

There’s always the Puppy Bowl

I’ll be preparing dinner for family (some of whom will watch the Superbowl). My super bowls will all sit on the kitchen table.

Don’t know what i’ll be doing, but certainly won’t be watching wonderfuldish or whatever it’s called, rugby for pussies. I love proper football, I believe the yanks refer to it as soccer…tee-hee.

KNOWITALL's avatar

@ucme I’d rather watch soccer any time, trust that.

I’ll hang with @Symbeline and watch some Xena.

@KNOWITALL Atta girl, you know it makes sense :-)

GO NINERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Uh-hum…actually, I’ll be slaving away in the clinical laboratory with my mind totally 100% into my work of helping sick people.

Jeruba's avatar

Nuts. I thought it was over already. Whatever I do that day will be utterly without reference to any sporting and/or broadcast event.

Pachy's avatar

How can you not be crazy about somebody who still says “Nuts”? @Jeruba, you’re a gem.

Sunny2's avatar

Streets will be empty around here, until the game is over. Go Niners!

Jeruba's avatar

What, am I the only one? It was either that or “rats.”

zenvelo's avatar

I will make Sunday super by having either a run or a bicycle ride and then a good lunch, and then I will make it SUPER DUPER by watching the Forty-Niners win their SIXTH Super Bowl!
