What are the first symptoms of Lyme Disease?

When I had it, I did not get the initial rash. My first symptoms were joint pain and exhaustion.

For me, the rash was the first thing. It didn’t even look like an abnormal rash on my skin at first, just a pinkish mark. It didn’t hurt or anything, and it was right at my waistline, so I thought it was just an impression from my pants. One day I looked back at that area and noticed the “pinkish mark” had turned into a formation of many circles with deep purple and other colors. That’s when I started getting concerned. I had not felt any other symptoms before the rash had fully formed.

The few friends I have that had it first had the joint pain and overall felt under the weather; they never noticed a rash if they ever had one.

It felt like I was getting the flu.

When I was younger me and a friend were out in the woods all day. I ended up staying over his house that night, the next morning when we woke up he couldn’t move the whole left side of his body. Well ya know the bulls eye mark ya get as a symptom, he had 28 of them…Somehow he had managed to walk through a deer tick nest.

I think it’s a requirement to get/know someone who got lymes disease in order to live in NJ :P
