Why wont Udemy (an online course page) load on my computer?

Asked by tan253 (2948points) August 13th, 2013

Hi All,
I’ve been doing some courses on Udemy.
www.udemy.com

Now whenever I load it – it loads till complete and then just goes to a white screen void of any info.
I can reload it but only for about 5 seconds then a blank screen again.

Any ideas?
I’ve tired safari and firefox and my iphone but it doesn’t load.

Can you see if it loads for you?
Thank you

Loads for me.

Firefox 23.0
OS X 10.8.4

Also tested on iPod Touch and iPhone.

And I have seen pages do this before. Unfortunately I don’t know why.

I’m firefox version 3.5.11 – is that the same as you?

My remedy for everything: Try clearing your cache (history/cookies) and restarting your browser.

Really? Firefox 3.5.11…. Holy shit. That was released July 20th, 2010. You need to upgrade. There has been a lot of security updates since then.

When you try to use it on your iPhone are you using wifi or your data from your phone company?

If wifi I think your router could be the problem.

ha ha hmm ok I tried updating but it tells me it’s the latest version however my mac is running on 10.4 so that could be it?
I’m using wifi as well – damn it i really like this site too!

Thanks for your help @johnpowell – I did just try clearing cache but no go @augustlan!

I think I need another coffee

Oh, 10.4 explains your update woes with firefox.

The site did work with my iPhone. If you could get on another wifi network to test it (Starbucks?) it would be great. If it works on another network we can come closer to pinpointing the problem.

well it works on my PC! and that’s the same wifi…... so it can’t be wifi….
I cleared cache…. unsure thought its frustrating @johnpowell !!!
