What do you think about psychopaths?

Asked by Gifted_With_Languages (1143points) September 30th, 2013

What different forms of manipulation can they do to another person’s mind, and how do they do it?
Why does death lure some psychopaths so much?
Not all psychopaths are murderers, but some tend to be, even with a healthy past.
Why is this, in your opinion?‎
I should like to thank you most sincerely for your replies.
I present my heartfelt gratitude and deep thanks to you.

They provide a good reference point; I’ll never be as seriously nuts as Charles Manson. Not yet anyway ;-)

Most of them do very well for themselves in politics.

People are obsessed with societies antagonists because deep down we need a bad guy to make ourselves feel better about our own deemed “less volatile” actions.

I think not and disappear.

I think they’re interesting. Master manipulators, which is what really intrigues me.

A lot of people are obsessed with death, figuring it out, watching people or things die fascinates them. It’s some lack of emotion on their part that allows them to enjoy another’s pain, I think, but also curiousity and lack of self-esteem.
