What is this thing called?

Are they hand carved like netsuke or Zuni fetish carvings, or mass produced like bobbleheads? What are they made of? Are they collectables? Can you post a picture?

@dxs. There are at least 6 variations on the spelling. At least the definition: worthless (yet treasured) crap is consistent with all spellings

“Tchotchke” (or “chotchkie,” “chotski,” or any other version) is a transliterated word. Yiddish is a Germanic language that’s written with the Hebrew alphabet. When the word gets converted to English, all sorts of fun spellings pop up.
