Have you read The Rosie Project?

Asked by Earthbound_Misfit (13177points) October 8th, 2014

Apparently the sequel to The Rosie Project is out. I was thinking about this book and wondering which actors might play Don Tillman and Rosie Jarman in a film version.

If you’ve read The Rosie Project, who can you visualize playing Don and Rosie?

I loved The Rosie Project. So funny. It was an Australian book so I would prefer if they stuck to Australian actors, but I take it that it will be Hollywood. Somebody tall and gangly for Don and small and cute for Rosie

Thank you @Stinley. Obviously not many people here have not read this book. I enjoyed it too and it had me laughing out loud often.

I haven’t, but sure will check it out. I like books that make me laugh.

I agree, Aussie book characters are best played by Aussie actors.… off the top of my head that would be Hugh Jackman, the Hemsworth brothers, Sam Worthington…

I just finished this, and loved it. Getting the sequel as soon as I have money to spare again.

I just finished the sequel and it’s good but not as good as the first book. Glad you liked it @longgone.

Thanks for the recommendation – and “good, but not as good” seems to be the definition of “sequel” ;)

Yes I read the sequel too and thought it was ok. A friend of mine lent it to me and she had only read it, not the first one. She thought it was great and quite liked the first one when I lent it to her. So maybe the two books are a bit samey and it just depends on which one you read first!
