What was the last wish you made when you seen that shooting star streak across the darkened sky?

Asked by Broken_EarthAngel (771points) December 19th, 2014

I last thing I wished for was simply to be happy and carefree with someone who completes me.My soul mate, the yin to my yang, my muse, the Clyde to my Bonnie and the one that I don’t have to hide my weirdness from because he is the one, the key for my lock.

When you wish upon a star
You’re actually a few million years late
The star is dead
Just like your dreams :D

I wished that I would never forget how f*cking amazing it is to be floating around on this speck of dirt in some unimportant part of the universe. I hope that I never watch a meteor burn up as it enters our atmosphere and just shrug indifferently.

@ucme Maybe..Maybe not

@hominid I feel the same way!

I’ve only ever seen one shooting star and I don’t recall if I made a wish – has your wish come true?

Broken_EarthAngel's avatar

@Earthbound_Misfit Never say never, however I do feel close tho.

I made this wish:

“Gee, I sure hope that big, fast moving, burning rock doesn’t hit my house!”

^^ MIB…look out for that cow!

I think I said a prayer for a loved one going through some rough times. Or maybe it was a wish the cow wasn’t there. I don’t remember.

Last Friday night I saw a Gemini pass over head towards San Francisco Bay (or out to the Pacific Ocean) and hoped the woman I love was able to get out to see meteors that night.

@Broken_EarthAngel You are already complete; no one will complete you except for you yourself. But I know what you seek, the guy whose rocks in his head fit the holes in your head.

Usually by the time I have formulated a “wish” the star has already disappeared, oh well.

Wished it could take me with it so we could fade out together and disintegrate.

My wish was granted. #columbia

I think I have only seen one shooting star in my entire life, and that within the past few years. I was too astounded to do anything but watch!

She may never know what it’s like to be fully engulfed in my madness.

That my boyfriend and I would be happy together forever. Sounds really sappy but it’s true!!
