Has anyone on fluther tried rebounding and have experienced any health benefits from it?

Asked by Pandora (32206points) March 14th, 2015

I’ve recently have purchased a mini trampoline to replace walking since my knees and feet on occasion give me problems and I had read that it was excellent for your lymphatic system.

I started to research it and it seems that there are many benefits to rebounding that I was not aware of.

So, I became curious and wanted to know if anyone on fluther has tried it, and if they have noticed any physical benefits that can be attributed to rebounding.
If you do rebound, would you please also state how many times a week and for how long.

Yes, yes, and yes! I love rebounding! It is like giving your cells a massage. After I became accustomed to the motion, which took about 3 or 4 days, I felt wonderful. I started with about 15 minutes of just light in place running and jumping, and worked my way up to being able to do more aerobic stuff on it. Tracy Anderson has a great rebounder dvd. In the end, just getting on it for a few minutes each day will help you. Just be careful, and follow the user instructions. Happy rebounding!!!!!

Thanks. I’ll look for the tape. I have noticed increased energy and also a lighter mood on the days I rebound. I mean any exercise can increase your mood but this instantly gives me energy. It took a few days to get there. But whenever I need a quick pick me up, I go rebound for at least 5 minutes on days that I take off to rest. After 5 minutes I feel like an energizer bunny.

@Pandora I am so glad that you are enjoying rebounding. You are so correct, it gives you energy and then some. I enjoy it the most of all physical exercise type activities!
