Do full virus scans on your computers.

Don’t sleep with a radio or TV on.
Water your lawn in the dark wee hours of morning.

I listen to audiobooks and lectures from The Great Courses.

I too listen to audio books or music while sleeping.

@kritiper Why water the lawn in the dark wee hours of morning?

Seek's avatar

@chyna – That’s recommended in Florida so the water doesn’t evaporate too quickly, so you can use less water overall to keep your lawn healthy.

Sleep well with a good conscience.

Sleep itself is a very positive thing for me without going much of anything else.

I really like some of the answers. I water my lawn late at night or very early in the morning, depending on where I live and what type of grass, or what season. It’s usually right before I go to bed, or right after I wake up though. The noise wakes my husband. If I can time so the sprinkler is on the other side of the house from the bedroom it can run the other sides while we are asleep.

Are we only talking about nighttime sleep? A nap during the day I might run the dishwasher, do a load of laundry, run a computer scan, or wait for a delivery.

Accruing meaningful interest is out of the equation for now.

Washing the laundry. It may be practical to do it at night, when you’re asleep.
If you’re doing lunch, set it on lower temperatures so it boils/bakes slowly, while you can take a short nap.
Reading/quickly reading through the lesson before you fall asleep is said to be beneficial.

^^It’s not good to let the laundry sit for many hours in the washer.

The process still allows a short sleep.

Apparently voting in elections is one thing you can do in your sleep…

kritiper's avatar

@chyna Because the (summer) air is cooler and there is less evaporation, more water for the lawn! (Assuming one has an automated sprinkler system.)

Some parts of the country watering in the evening can leave the lawn very susceptible to fungus. The grass is wet too long.
