Inquiring minds want to know - what does Hillary Clinton think about yesterday's Manafort decision and Cohen pleading?

Asked by elbanditoroso (33158points) August 22nd, 2018

“Told ya so!” comes to mind.

You don’t hear much from the 2016 candidate who had the most votes these days.

I wonder what she thinks.

I am trying to imagine what the more conservative jellies are going to say. No doubt something along the lines of how she is feeling so relieved that it is Trump’s team that is being found guilty and not herself for leaking and then destroying classified emails.

What I am wondering is the extent of guilt by association.. How can Trump be associated with so many criminals? Is there a precedent for this? In addition to all his campaign workers, the first two congressional Trump supporters have been brought up on criminal charges.

If I’m hanging out with Mother Teresa, I’m most likely one type of person. If I’m hanging out with “Scarface Malone” I’m probably another type of person.
My mom always said to surround yourself with good people and you will probably be good.

I honestly don’t give a small rodent’s behind what Hillary Clinton thinks and I’d be okay never hearing about her again. But I’m sure she’s reveling a bit in how “swampy” Trump’s administration has turned out to be.

@LostInParadise Of course it’s a bad idea to convict someone solely because they hang out with criminals; but when you surround yourself with folks that wind up convicted, hire them to run your campaign, and appoint them to high government office, more than your judgement is in question. From the outset, I never believed there was a chance in hell that Trump might survive close Federal scrutiny, and the 18 people so far indicted are but teasers to the coming revelations.

B-b-b-but her e-mails!

I do not know the answer to the original question but @LostInParadise I can tell you that the conservative circles are all saying the same thing: “This is not about Russia, this is not collusion”. It is becoming their new mantra.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Well…that’s like asking why we haven’t heard from Obama or Bush or others. What would you expect to hear from Hillary if she did comment?

stanleybmanly's avatar

The “this isn’t about collusion or Russia” is a mantra that will never survive Mueller’s investigation. There are just too many arrows pointed toward a Trump/Russia cabal.

kritiper's avatar

She’s a cool customer and will probably keep her comments to herself, as she should.

ScienceChick's avatar

Wait, what? You mean, she hasn’t immediately taken to twitter to give her opinion in at least 4 consecutive following tweets? Calling people names and making threats? But women are so emotionally unstable and unequipped for high office in public station?

Dutchess_III's avatar

She’s too busy gossiping with the neighbors and watching soap operas to even pay attention to this politics stuff.

ScienceChick's avatar

@Dutchess_III please put a ‘sarcasm mark’ after, so that folk realise you aren’t being serious.

You should talk!

I think the news probably just reached her. She’s a commander on one of the biggest space ships, in Obama’s fleet hidden behind the Sun. Once these conspiracies bring down honest Don, the fleet will move into attack position. Without Trump’s Spaceforce, Earth will be ripe for the picking.
Obama’s Islamic clone army will lay waste to America’s military, and then go door to door, raping our women, killing our men, enslaving our children, and of course taking our guns…

In the near future, Obama and Hillary will clank champagne glasses, as they watch the country burn from a mountain top.

Trump’s last ditch effort will be a Space wall. Hopefully congress can get it funded, and stop Obama and Hillary’s reign of terror.

As the smell of burning bodies, flows from the death camps, we will have only one wish. That Trump will find a way to thwart this dystopian future, from becoming reality… We could have listened. We could have listened…....

A tad off topic – Cohen’s lawyer said that Cohen would not take a pardon from Trump if he was offered one. Yea, right. He is only saying that because he knows Trump won’t offer it.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Well, he can’t. Not in this situation anyway.

MrGrimm888's avatar

It’s getting juicy right? I wonder if any of these people will end up falling down an elevator shaft? A lot of powerful heads, are being eyed by the executioner. There will definitely be some rolling…

ucme's avatar

She oughta be thinking…“there but for the grace of gawd…”
What she really thinks I don’t give a solitary fuck.

MrGrimm888's avatar

^Yeah. Her story is over. She’s probably eating bon bons, and watching reruns of CSI, or something…

Dutchess_III's avatar

I’m sure she is keeping close track of what is going on, as are the Obamas. They all have insights that we don’t have. I’d love to hear them.

MrGrimm888's avatar

^Well. None of this really affects them, right?

I mean, bad news is an almost daily thing, with this administration. They spend most of their time shooting themselves in the foot, and then deflecting, and lying about almost everything.

If I were Obama, I’d throw my phone in a river, and just enjoy the rest of my days. I do have hopes, that he might be a diplomatic figure going forward. Obviously, we’ll have to wait until dumbass is gone, for that though. I think Obama could really help rebuild our nation’s relationship with other countries. Maybe he would be humble enough to help. We could use Bill too. We need HELP with our international relationships, after not even half of Trump’s term. Trump’s digging a deep hole, for our country. We’ll need some great people, to step forward and help. Trump is not really a legitimate leader of America, in some European countries’ opinions. If they can wait him out, the world could go back to much more stability and hopefully at least in 2020…

She is thinking she wasted the money she spent bribing people to set up Trump. All they’ve succeeded in doing is exposing themselves as greedy jerks with recording devices. Cohen even tried to lure Donald into making cash payments so he could set up the appearance of using campaign funds, but Donald knew better.

Interesting, the people who come out saying they have audio of Trump. Kind of like trying to pull off a set up, but so far it is all back firing.
The more details which come out, the more it actually does appear to be a witch hunt.

Donald J. Teflon, nothing sticks to him.

Dutchess_III's avatar

LOL!! No one was bribed to “set trump up.” He set himself up all by his idiotic self, and he’s continuing to set himself up.
Also, a “witch hunt” refers to imagining there are witches where there are none. That doesn’t apply here. You can bet trump is losing sleep.

MrGrimm888's avatar

^18 witches. So far, if I’m not mistaken.

Dutchess_III's avatar

Real ones, though.

stanleybmanly's avatar

Yes, she’s enjoying the satisfaction of watching all of the slime balls formerly screaming “lock her up”, march off to prison. She can now look forward to spending the rest of her life counting her money.

Patty_Melt's avatar

A real witch hunt was when people convinced the township someone they didn’t like, or made them nervous was a witch. It was not imaginary people, it was real people, and hysterics convinced otherwise intelligent people that witchcraft was afoot.
That is exactly what’s going on. If you saw all the people around the suspect in a movie with tape recorders, you would stand up in the theater and shout set up. These people were bribed to try and get something on President Teflon, and they can’t.

Dutchess_III's avatar

That is not exactly what is going on. The indictments are not imaginary. The proof is not imaginary. The jail time will not be imaginary.
We’ll get him eventually, especially if we can flip the house and senate in November. That’s more than likely what they’re waiting for.
Trump is trying to defend his own impeachment.“I don’t know how you can impeach somebody who’s done a great job,” the president said.”

Lord that man is so fecking dumb.
