Does any food item exist that has a scoville score less then zero?

scoville score. Maybe milk?

Pretty sure that the Scoville refers exclusively to the capsaicin content, so, by definition, no, as the complete lack of capsaicin in any food that does not have any to begin with, removes it from consideration altogether.

@canidmajor Does a cold measurment exist? An anti-scoville.

I honestly don’t know, but I think it would be a “bland” scale, rather than a “cold” one.

Mint, maybe? Menthol is sort of the opposite of capsaicin.

Edit a food item that can help one recover from spicy food with a high scoville score.

A giant bell pepper hollowed out, frozen, then worn as a helmet on All Hallow’s Eve is “less then zero”.

In that case, anything oily, since capsaicin is lipophile.
For example, milk and vegetable oil.
