Cheating without getting caught.

Keep a straight face AT ALL TIMES!
If you can’t open with at least a pair of anything, fold.

If your opponent is wearing glasses you can see the reflection of the cards in his glasses.

Doesn’t it depend on the game?

Bridge is different from hearts, and vastly different from strip poker.

Learn a strategy. Play often to learn how to play the game better.
If you’re a guy, don’t play strip poker with girls: They’ll beat you every time!

Blackjack, it’s amazing how much better you come out just using basic strategy. Not even counting cards just basics like never split tens, when to hit based on the dealers up card, double down, splitting 8’s etc..

God. One time, when I was about 19, I was playing poker with a bunch of guys. Hell, my dad taught me to play poker when I was 5. On this day, though, I had drawn in to 4 Queens. OMG. I kept my cool and I kept trying to get them to bid up, but they just weren’t going to take unfair advantage of that pretty, silly little woman and refused to bite. They about died when I played my hand. I WAS SO MAD!!!

What game are we playing?

In general, don’t react with noises or expressions on your face when you look at your cards or pick a card. Know your cards well enough that when you pick a card you can do your turn quickly. lf you take a lot of time it implies your hand is good, and you’re having trouble deciding what to throw. That’s for games like canasta and rummy. Still, be careful. It’s better to pause than make a fatal error.

If you have a system when you hold your cards, like you put wild cards on the right, change that up to the left sometimes. Sometimes, it’s good to keep cards up in your hand, and put more down at once so your cards are a mystery to your opponent for a longer time, but it depends on the game.
