Lullabye by Billy Joel makes me think of my mom. Twenty-six years later, this song still makes me tear up from missing her.

This is about my wife. Not the part with Miranda Lambert, but the song.

@lucillelucillelucille Thanks. I’ll take all the hugs I can get. :)

Too many to mention.

Speaking of the Beatles, I can’t get enough of “You’ve Got to Hide, Your Love Away.”

Moonlight Serenade by Glenn Miller. It was my mom’s favorite song. I must have heard it a million times in my life. We played it at her funeral.

This song always makes me think of Mrs Squeeky and how lucky I am to have her in my life….

“And I love Her” by Paul McCartney
Heard my mother singing quietly with the radio playing that song.

I was a teen then and also remember when as a much younger age hearing her sing:
“You Are My Sunshine”

Whenever I hear those ( rare) I think of those two times that I heard her in the kitchen singing along by herself.

To an ex-girlfriend.

I have several, but I heard this one today. Took me right back to a girl whose love I thought would save me.

@anniereborn My father loves Glenn Miller. :)

Any song by Doris Day reminds me of my mom. My youngest son had a song by Doris in his playlist and it brought me to tears when it played while we were driving. I had no idea my son discovered Doris Day. He’s only 16.

Eh, in retrospect I dodged a bullet there. That girl was a hot mess.

(In truth, my pick here is, like the song itself, a bit tongue-in-cheek.)

@Darth_Algar – Someone recently posted this one and I thought it expressed my thoughts on a particular breakup well.
“You’re breakin’ my glasses too” lol

This one reminds me of my Mother, Rest her soul… https://youtu.be/mrZRURcb1cM

My Mother was a huge Fleetwood Mac Fan, so anything I hear from them puts a smile on my face and, reminds me of Mom always…

@filmfann….before I open it I’m gonna bet it’s Jim Croce’s “Operator.”
Yes, it is. It’s the saddest song ever.

McLean’s “American Pie” reminds me of my sons by another mother and father, Truman and Thurman. They made it into a short rap which I recorded in 1995. I lost them for 20 years and then I found them in 2016! Thurman lives within ½ mile of Chief’s stadium!!!! His brother lives much closer. He can sit in his back yard and watch the home games on the jumbotron. Rick was pretty much ready to leave me and move in with Thurman’s brother!

@PaisleyFaye -I like that album very much.
