How can I enlarge a Flutherer's avatar, to see it more clearly?

Asked by JackAdams (6574points) September 1st, 2008

I’d like to be able to view the detail on some of them, because I can’t always tell what they are. (Bad vision comes with the aging process, I guess.)

Right-click the avatar picture. Either OS will give you an option to copy the address of the image. Paste the copied address into your browser’s address bar. At the end of the address just before the ”.htm”, you’ll see “_thumb”. Highlight and delete that. Then hit Return. Voila!

I’m either not doing it right, or it just isn’t working on my Windows XP/Home Edition with IE7.

I get as far as this link for your own avatar:

Now what do I do to enlarge the resultant image?
