What do you think happens at the end of "The Ghost Writer"?

Asked by luigirovatti (2836points) July 16th, 2020

I mean, obviously the ghostwriter dies and the first draft of the memoir gets lost forever. But maybe the note sent to Ruth doesn’t get lost in the shuffle? I wonder…

I thought the note sent to Ruth stayed with Ruth, which means she would keep it to herself. And so they got away with it. Not sure what you mean with “doesn’t get lost in the shuffle.”

The ghostwriter’s royalties go to their next-of-kin?
