I could tell you. But then I’d have to kill you.

A big, old book with a cutout in the middle.

head to your local smoke shop…...lots of great stash items…..

I use to hide things in the pockets of things in my closet….or in my medicine cabinet, decorative items work nicely too (like a ceramic vase)....altoids tins are effective if it’s something small. Also, you can cut a hole in the wall and hang a mirror over it for the larger stash items….

Inside a container in the freezer.

trudacia's avatar

It’s a secret…but let me just tell you that you would never find my secret stuff!

cheebdragon's avatar

I think people expect the freezer thing by now, or no?

trudacia's avatar

People, I suspect greiss is a mastermind criminal. Just don’t give him/her your address!

Kidding (sort of)....

cheebdragon's avatar

Inside the back of an old remote control…

I roll small things like baby teeth in a pair of socks. But my most favourite place is in a coffee mug. I have over 500+, and 200+ are on display in my kitchen, some high enough you cannot reach with a chair. Really makes for a good hiding spot (if item is small enough). If you have kids, toys are always good. If you are going away and need to hide something ~ go for toys. With so many, no one would even think or want to go through all those toys!

poofandmook's avatar

in a ziploc baggie in the fridge in a big old container of kool-aid?

blastfamy's avatar

flat things can go in computer cases!

Mugsie's avatar

How about the inside of a shoe or sneaker.

Mugsie's avatar

Inside a new, clean vacuum bag, than put the bag inside the vacuum cleaner.

poofandmook's avatar

yes, kool-aid. People think to look in the freezer, or the flour, or the sugar. Nobody looks in a pitcher of bright-colored beverage. Is there a problem with my answer, cheebdragon?

cheebdragon's avatar

but it’s a clear liquid…..

poofandmook's avatar

it’s not clear, it’s colored, making it at best translucent. And if it happens to be in a solid pitcher, nobody’s sticking their hand in it to look for valuables.

Mugsie's avatar

Wouldn’t it be messy for you, the hider?

cheebdragon's avatar

you can see thru it from the top….= clear

And depending on what’s in the bag, it might just float to the top.

clear /klɪər/ Pronunciation Key – Show Spelled Pronunciation[kleer] Pronunciation Key – Show IPA Pronunciation adjective, -er, -est, adverb, -er, -est, verb, noun
–adjective 1. free from darkness, obscurity, or cloudiness; light: a clear day.

If someone is going to break into your house, they are going to look through drawers, pockets, closets, jewelry boxes, under mattresses, in the freezer, flour containers, etc. They are NOT going to look in your beverage containers, open or not.

But thanks for your opinion.

babiturtle36's avatar

tampon box if it’s something small

Nimis's avatar

Bake it into a loaf of bread and stick it in the frizzer.
May prove problematic for documents.

Mugsie's avatar

Now that is a GREAT place! Just don’t forget when you go to bite into that banana bread LOL!

chyna's avatar

My underware drawer. Sadly, no one ever looks there.

Mugsie's avatar

How about in a baggy stuffed into a bag of dog food or in my case Guinea Pig food?

AstroChuck's avatar

Why should I tell you, so you can come over and steal my porn?

dollfacee's avatar

little things such as jewelry, inside a folded pair of socks.
if you look in there it just looks like a pair of socks.

JackAdams's avatar

The most successful hiding place is one where YOU CAN’T REMEMBER IT, EITHER!

I hid $1,500 CASH in my own house, and I can’t remember WHERE!

chyna's avatar

@jack – your address?

JackAdams's avatar

LOL!

Don’t you also want to know when I will not be home?

dollfacee's avatar

that’d be greatt! ha

JackAdams's avatar

You guys REALLY don’t get it, do you? Here is what I wrote, verbatim:

“I hid $1,500 CASH in my own house, and I can’t remember WHERE!”

I am almost 59 years old!

I am having problems with my memory!

I cannot remember where MY HOUSE is!

Mitsu_Neko's avatar

Jack…...I hid my bankcard and now I can’t find it…I know it is here since I live alone I just can’t remember where

JackAdams's avatar

Welcome to MY club!

Mitsu_Neko's avatar

i need it to deposit funds

JackAdams's avatar

No you don’t.

Mitsu_Neko's avatar

my local brach closed and no one will drive me to the next one over so I have to use the ATM….and the payments were already sent out

Mugsie's avatar

Mitsu ~ do you do any banking online?

Mitsu_Neko's avatar

occasionally…not sine my desktop crashed
and how do you use that to deposit cash

Mugsie's avatar

You can’t, I was just wondering.

Mugsie's avatar

I just applied for a new debit card cause I can’t find mine either. The last time I had it was in the beginning of August. What a pain.

Mitsu_Neko's avatar

i hid mine so i couldn’t shop

tinyfaery's avatar

In the pockets of clothing that is either put away, or hangs in an area that is not easily accessible, like the back of a huge closet packed with boxes and such.

ckinyc's avatar

Now I need to find something to hide!

BarbieM's avatar

I have some things hidden inside DVD cases, but the trick is to remember which movies have secret stashes in them.

Mugsie's avatar

Hi BarbieM ~ I am forever stashing something, like a receipt, and later not being able to remember where I stashed it.

JackAdams's avatar

I had a friend who once tried to stash his stash, and forgot where he had hidden it, but eventually it was found for him, when these very nice police officers came to his place, with these really neat dogs named “Killer” and “Attila,” and would you believe that they located it, almost immediately?

Mugsie's avatar

I believe it. My sister-in-law is a Police Officer and she has one of those dogs.

Mitsu_Neko's avatar

the guy across the street from my dad has one for the airport

Mugsie's avatar

The good thing is there will never be drugs in my house LOL! He often comes over!

Mitsu_Neko's avatar

I dunno if the neighbor’s dog is drug or bomb

JackAdams's avatar

Sometimes, one dog has been trained to sniff for BOTH.

Mugsie's avatar

Yes I have heard that. Mine is only for drugs.

Mugsie's avatar

And he is tiny, usually they are big. He is getting well know because he can get into places other big dogs can’t. He is lighter to left for high places too.

Mitsu_Neko's avatar

i know this one only does one because the guy told me which one but I forgot…..

Mugsie's avatar

Airports need more for bombs than drugs.

Mitsu_Neko's avatar

I live near Baltimore Washington International

Mugsie's avatar

I am not far from Logon Airport (Boston) Mass.

gailcalled's avatar

Logon is the internet airport. I believe, that if you want even a marginally decent chance of surviving the flight, you need to leave and arrive from Logan..

KatawaGrey's avatar

I once hid my Halloween candy in a big ole TV box that was in my room for some reason. My mom never found it.

Mitsu_Neko's avatar

how long did i take you to eat it?

Mitsu_Neko's avatar

did it* stupid keyboard

Mugsie's avatar

Galicalled ~ yes Logan, not Logon! oops:)

KatawaGrey's avatar

@mitsu it took me a few weeks. By that point, I felt bad and gave my mom some candy. :)

JackAdams's avatar

Now, your mom will blame you for any weight gain she suffers!

Mitsu_Neko's avatar

my lil brother is always trying to share candy and if I dont take it he just shoves it in my mouth

crzbob's avatar

put it in a kitty litter box, the cut out in the book is a great idea, i have done that, my parents took everything in my room and they didnt find it, also, if u have a regular light switch, unscrew it and if its small ish u can slip it in there, and put the ouside back on, it works great, and u can still use the switch
