With NASA's Artemis rocket launching today, do you think it a mistake to make the rocket orange?

It makes it look like it is already rusting.

The answer to your question will be come in due time.
The orange color is from insulation for the liquid oxygen and hydrogen tanks.

Not looking good for the launch today.

It looks like a creamsicle (orange and vanilla popsicle sold in the US). I’m thinking orange for Florida oranges. :)

Whelp, they just cancelled the launch.

Darn. We’ll have to wait for another day.

To get back to the question, I don’t think the color of the rocket affects its performance. And it might help in identifying any pieces that are jettisoned during launch.

The tank isn’t painted, it is it’s natural color.

You call that living—forever on the moon?

@RedDeerGuy1 I initially thought the same thing!

They use foam to thermally insulate the tanks, which contain supercold liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen. The foam’s natural color is amber. Exposure to sunlight has made it more orangish in color.
