Can you freeze pumpkin & pecan pie?

It’s just Rick and me this year.

I don’t see why not. I buy them frozen. I would have no qualms about putting half of each in the freezer.

Yes, no problem at all. Just wrap it tightly.

You can buy them frozen so I’m going with ‘yes.’ I haven’t actually done this myself though.

We do it all the time! My wife loves the large pumpkin and pecan pies from Costco, so when the season comes around we usually buy three or four each to freeze throughout the year.

@Strauss The Costco pumpkin pie remains 5.99 which is a great bargain because it’s actually really good and it’s also huge. I never thought of freezing it – I just eat about half within a week and then I throw it out.

Cut them into single servings before freezing.

Later you can thaw them out in the fridge and bake in a toaster oven at 350F for 5–10 min – yum!
