Are you excited to have regular US Army soldiers patrolling US cities starting October 1?

“They may be called upon to help with civil unrest and crowd control or to deal with potentially horrific scenarios such as massive poisoning and chaos in response to a chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear or high-yield explosive, or CBRNE, attack.”

“The 1st BCT’s soldiers also will learn how to use “the first ever nonlethal package that the Army has fielded,” 1st BCT commander Col. Roger Cloutier said, referring to crowd and traffic control equipment and nonlethal weapons designed to subdue unruly or dangerous individuals without killing them.

“It’s a new modular package of nonlethal capabilities that they’re fielding. They’ve been using pieces of it in Iraq, but this is the first time that these modules were consolidated and this package fielded, and because of this mission we’re undertaking we were the first to get it.”

The package includes equipment to stand up a hasty road block; spike strips for slowing, stopping or controlling traffic; shields and batons; and, beanbag bullets.”

Some might say this is a violation of the Posse Comitus Act and the Insurrection Act, but I say we need new laws to fight a new enemy.

Whew! Martial Law! About time! I figured that they would conjure up another fake….I mean…cough.cough… I thought we would be attacked by the ever so illusive terrorist with WMDs before they would protect us. Anyone seen the movie “1984’ just wondering..

Until I see it happening, it sounds like you’re jumping from A to G, skipping a bunch of in-betweens.

It is a violation of the Posse Comitatus act. And it’s all very well to say “we need new laws for a new situation,” but that means we need new laws first, which we don’t have.

Congress has the authority to repeal the Posse Comitatus Act. If they haven’t, it’s still the law of the land, and the military has no business acting as domestic law enforcement.

do you honestly think they give a fuck about an ACT or LAW or BILL. They removed habeas corpus! or show me the body! They can kidnapp your ass and throw you under a fucking prison in Lithuania! If they want to and your face will be on a fucking milk carton because they do not have to tell your family or anyone where you are at or if they even have you!

Well, my boyfriend and I will be leaving the country in the next few years. Defection will become the new refuge.

Just imagine it – American refugees hiding from their oppressive government.

Laugh.
