Guy’s response: Make sure the bride doesn’t freak the F out.

Seriously, that’s about it. Beyond that it depends on the bride.

Often the MoH helps pick out the dresses, plans the bachelorette party, and might throw a brunch the morning after the wedding. But all of that depends on the women. When I was my sister’s maid of honor, I kept her from freaking out and helped her dress. As the bridesmaid for my college roommate, I helped pick dresses, will plan the bachelorette party, and have offered to throw a brunch—all traditional MoH stuff, but her underage sister is the MoH. And her sister helped with the dresses too and will probably get stuck DDing us. But her idea of a good party and the bride’s idea would be very different.

Whatever the bride wants you to do. :)

Get ready to be very busy… She will probably ask you to do a whole bunch of things, from helping with the invitations to throwing her shower, and much much more!
