Is quality, price or design most important when buying self assembly furniture?

Self assembly furniture has a reputation for being hard to assemble and not lasting very long. Do you get what you pay for?

For me, it’s all in the brand. It was my job to buy and assemble all of the furniture in my mom’s new house recently, and I went through several brands of self-assembled furniture. Ultimately, I had the best luck with Sauder. Easiest to assemble, best instructions, classic designs, and good quality.

I agree with lefteh-Sauder is great as far as that type of furniture goes.
