How happy are you when the questions on Fluther are really good?

Asked by andrew (16543points) December 17th, 2008 from IM

This morning I’ve already laughed out loud (lol4rl) three times. This must be like how parents feel when their child hits a home run in t-ball or nail that concerto.

Sometimes good answers come in silly or boring questions. So while I’m happy when I see great questions on the front page, I’m happiest when I can provide answers that help others or that others enjoy. Amazingly enough today is a great Fluther day in that respect for me!

It keeps me occupied and then these electrodes in the side of my brain don’t bother me as much.

I have to agree with dynamicduo!! some days are better then others. most days are great and everyone is very helpful.and Andrew thank you for this site!! :)

I shed a tear of delight, then I go to Disneyland.

rossi_bear's avatar

@peedub… you are one lucky person!! can I go? lol I envy you!!!

Rossi_bear, Disneyland is overrated. Yeah the rides are nice, but you’ll spend way more of your time in lines, we’re talking half the day in lines at least. I have way more fun at smaller theme parks like the Six Flags ones. Of course that’s cause I don’t care much for Disney, since it’s clearly obvious that you are a Disney fan I’m sure you’d have a hoot :D

You’re totally invited. We’ll ride the Peter Pan ride at least a dozen times. They don’t have that at Sucks Flags…

@dynamicduo: I couldn’t disagree more. I thought I would hate disneyland when I went back as an adult—it was amazing. Especially the way they design the lines. Of course, when you go in the middle of the week…

I do admit I was a young kid at the time. If I went back now, I would probably see it in a different way. I know I’d be looking at the typography and graphic design elements, and Disney is always great at those. As with everything, our experiences taint our perception of things. Now that I’m thinking this, I might actually like to go back just one more time…

I laughed out loud today too, but not from a new question.

I feel like I am married to Fluther, because I am here “for better or worse.” I do enjoy it more when the questions are good, but I stick around even when they aren’t. A dry spell usually doesn’t last too long.

Can I be nosy and ask which three questions made you laugh?

loser's avatar

I find that I usually enjoy the answers more than the questions!

I love it when the questions are good. When they get kinda blah, I’ll ask one, as a question-y sorbet for the Fluthpalate.

When great questions are posted and great answers are given it makes my day. Sadly a lot of the questions I’ve noticed lately are benefitting no one by being asked. If someone asks a thought provoking question then I’m happy. If it’s a basic question that really doesn’t benefit anyone if it’s answered or not then I feel kind of bummed out about the immaturity and boredom of people.

I lurve it! Probably a little too much.

Knotmyday's avatar

if only I had more lurve to give

@syz The deja vu question is my favorite in a long time. There were a couple other ones but now I can’t remember! I’m still amazed at shilolo saving judochop’s life.
