For PC people only...

Asked by simone54 (7629points) December 20th, 2008

I don’t need to hear what any mac people have to say at all.

Okay, PC people, I’ve been a loyal a patron of PC all my life. I even had computers way before anyone else. I’m thinking of jumping ship to macs, They do seem like they have less problems. I have a many probably with the shitty Dell that I have now.

Why should I stay with PC. I want too. I really do.

Eh. At this point, there’s no real reason to stay. There’s no longer compatability issues, there’s no longer availability of software issues, etc. The only thing I might suggest is that Macs have a tendency to be less user-configurable. They treat the users as people who shouldn’t be messing with the internals. But seeing as the OS is now basically Unix, if you are decent at Unix SysAdmin’ing, you can configure to your heart’s delight.

I say go for it.

I was in that situation once – but I made the switch, so I won’t say any more.

If you enjoy playing games, customizing your computer, upgrading parts and not spending an outrageous amount of money, don’t do it.

Themain reason I am staying with PC is actually lack of people around me using Mac. It is so much easier to get help if you get stuck or if computer breaks down when most of the people around me have PC. Mac just isn’t as common as PC is. Still.

And also, what Eambos says, when you need to upgrade your computer it’s easier done with a PC and there are more software and games for PC.

You shouldn’t stay with a PC if you don’t like it, make the switch! You may be happier, isn’t happiness what you want?

I have a PC, i love my PC because I can tinker with it til my heart is content but I also have a Mac computer that is a lot of fun as well. I’ve never had problems with either of my systems but thats just me.

what sort of problems have you been having with your pc? have you used dells a lot? have ever had a pc personally build?

You could stay with Windows if you want just stay away from shitty Dell.!

BTW (PC is a misnomer because PC stands for Personal Computer… and both Apple and Windows based computers are for personal use)
