Isn’t that sidewalk with all the stars’ stars near there?

Yup, down the street. Sunset strip I believe it’s called? We’re doing that tomorrow, Venice beach today.

The best view of the Hollywood sign is driving up Highland toward the 101. You should head out to the Santa Monica Pier, shop at the 3rd Street Promenade, to to the City Walk, walk around Beverly Hills, catch some comedy at The Comedy Store, hike in Griffith Park, go to LACMA and the La Brea Tar Pits.

Remember, L.A. is a very large city and it’s not all just about the Hollywood imaginary; plan ahead for travel time (hopefully you’re renting a car) for parking as well.

Besides the typical tourist attractions there’s a lot of beautiful geography and things to do around L.A. (the cities that make up the metropolitan L.A. area).

Most of the STARS in the sidewalk are on both sides of Hollywood Blvd from Vine to west of Highland and some of the side streets. Also just north of Hollywood on the west side of Highland is a large urban multilevel outdoor mall with attached self or valet parking (just next to the Renaissance Hotel). park, go to the first level and on the north end by the big roman arch you can easily photo the HOLLYWOOD sign perfectly bracketed. also some reasonable priced eaterys in this mall. I think it is called the H & H or Mall at Hollywood and Highland?
