I have some dress shoes that got some salt on them during a recent winter storm and want to know how to clean them up.

mix one part water, one part vinegar and dab the shoes with the mixture to remove the salt. Clean the shoes with saddle soap, then shine them. Leaving them as they are will ruin the finish on the leather.

If you are male and live in a snowy area and wear dress shoes with regularity, I suggest purchasing a pair of Tote overshoes. Black rubber, fits over the dress shoes, comes off and fits into a coat pocket.
