I've been wondering the same thing. Going into perfume shops can be difficult because once smell a couple, you're nose is done. I found this cool website - they sell incredibly expensive fancy french perfumes, but you can order fragance samples and you only pay for shipping and handling. There's a space in the order form for you to tell them which ones you want to sample. they say 5 different choices, but they threw in 2 extra.

My advice is don't just look at perfume - try men's after shave. Givenchy Gentlemen was recommended to me by a hairdresser years ago and I still get compliments.

I wear Aqua Di Gio. It's a very light, cool scent--nothing too overwhelming but still noticeable
