Do you have a favorite nude beach?

When I was going to school in San Luis Obispo, CA I frequently went to a local nude beach, more so than class. It was called Pirate’s Cove. Located between Avila and Pismo Beach. It was beautiful and you could literally swim with the seals there. I’m really curious to know if any of you have been there, but I would also love to hear your stories of other nude beaches.

As a rule I’ve been disappointed by nude beaches. My wife and I went to see Secret Beach in Kauai, and it turns out the guidebook was wrong, not a nude beach anymore. Oh well.

We go to Collins Beach in Portland. It is nice because there seems to be a lack of machoness when everyone is naked.

I’ve been to ONE, Once. So I guess by default, Playa Linda (on the Atlantic coast of Florida) would be my favorite, eh?

On one hand, the creepy old guy and his wife that offered to take me home (wink wink, nudge nudge) was oddly flattering, since I’m not so beautiful. On the other hand, creepy old guy! Wife! Home! Eeew.

My brother and I used to surf at Black’s beach in La Jolla. That’s where I realized that clothes have more than a utilitarian purpose…also, the importance of regular exercise.
