Is anyone else a Mac App-oholic?

Asked by suzyq2463 (2224points) February 4th, 2009

My name is SuzyQ and I’m a MacApp-oholic. I am always looking for and downloading new Mac apps. I love finding new ways of doing things, and I love learning new programs. But, I think it’s getting out of hand. I downloaded and purchased a Mac app the other day that I probably will never use, but OMG it was on SALE! So, I bought it. And I’ve bought a lot of others (I refuse to divulge how many). I need a 12-step program. But until they come up with Mac-oholics Anonymous, does anyone else suffer from this affliction? Have you found a way to tame it?

Apple.com/downloads is my #1 bookmark! I only get free ones because I delete them so fast after I download them. Today I spent the day downloading every form of Mac Twitter clients that I could find on the web! One day I’ll find the perfect app!

AppZapper is so great because it moves the .plist file to the trash, too. It makes my app downloading addiction go so much smoother!

i just download a lot of the free ones, for testing purposes, usually i’ve tested something and then a customer comes asking me for something with that functionality and i baffle them with an instant answer

i tend to use macupdate.com a lot

Yeah, but i have some terms. It has to be made in Cocoa and preferably free.

I am very very addicted!!!

and like most, I prefer free. But I will spend hours and hours looking through apps.

If anyone finds a larger concentration than Apple.com/downloads post it hear please.
