What are some alternative ways of cleaning my iPhone display?

Asked by Trustinglife (6668points) February 9th, 2009 from iPhone

I no longer have the black cloth that came with the phone. There are smudges now that a simple rub of the shirt won’t get off. I’m hesitant to use water. What do you suggest?

Get the shirt very lightly damp, or better yet, buy a microfiber cloth.

Every Sunglass Hut or similar store can get you plenty of those glass cloth thingies.

If mine gets really smudged up I use Armorall Car Window wipes. I use Armorall because they have less amonia base in them than Windex wipes, since they assume you might have tinted windows. (Touchscreen ‘n all)

Jeans. Windex and a paper towel if really grimy.

iKlear.com – they sell it at the Apple store and I use it in my iMac and LCD TV, and on our iPhones when they get gross. But during the day, I just periodically wipe it on my pants leg or sleeve.

Costco has some optical spray that’s inexpensive and can be forever refilled, for free. It’s pretty much like iKlear but ultra cheap.
