Would you ever consider loosing your life to save another person, to stand up for something you believe in, or if you knew you were going to be hospitalized for the rest of your life?

Those are three totally different situations, so I can’t give you just one answer.

To save another person: no.
To stand up for something I believe in: really depends on the issue at hand. Likely no.
If I were going to be hospitalized for my entire life: again, depends on the situation. If I were going to be in pain for the rest of my life and confined to a hospital bed (or a clean room) I would probably opt for assisted suicide. Then again, maybe I wouldn’t.

If there is a chance I would survive the mission I would do it, and with my skill it bolsters my courage by the shot.

To save someone’s life, without a doubt there are 5 or 6 people I would lay down my life for. I’m single, no kids, not in love, so I would certainly sacrafice my life for my mother, my brother (he’s married—and if it came down to it, I’d probably give my life for his wife, my step-sister, not so much for her, but for my brother), my two best friends (who are married to each other) or their son (who is my godson). But I imagine that that would all change if I ever fell in love and started my own family. In that case, they would become my primary responsibility and hence, become the only people I would lay down my life for. Now, if you ask who would I choose if I had to choose between saving my wife or my children, that’s a decision I hope I’d never have to make. But I suppose I might choose my wife. However, I would instruct her that if she were faced w/ the same dilemma, she should choose to save our child(ren).

Life is not worth living if you are not willing to die and stand up for something.

I’m gonna go with a yes. There are a lot of reasons I say yes but I’m not going to list ‘em all here.

@Sellz I’m with you
