We rented Max Payne. That was just ridiculously awful.
And we watched Punisher: War Zone last night, I barely paid attention, but it was excessively violent, I didn’t know what was really going on.

Probably Horton hears a Who. It f**king sucked. that was probably the worst movie ever

willbrawn's avatar

@Tino311 i actally enjoyed that movie, i thought it was cute.

have you evr seen the movie dodgeball?

Tino311's avatar

i thought it was great

I thought the end of Eagle Eye was pretty awful-he totally should’ve died a martyr-instead of just “walking off” multiple gunshot wounds. Horrible

@casheroo

Yeah, Max Payne was horrible!

Worst of all times though, Donnie Darko. Horrible, stupid immature speed-induced pseudo-intellectual musings about the space/time fabric. GARBAGE Kind of that “whoaa the universe dude!” crap that came out of my head in college after the 3rd night awake…..

i know i’m probably in the minority over here, but the worst movie i’ve seen recently was the watchmen.

@TaoSan Donnie Darko used to be my favourite movie. I was 14. lol Did you know they’re making a sequel..about his younger sister?? Ugh.

Tino311's avatar

NOOOOOO WAY, that was my favorite movie when i was 15

I can see how in the teenage angst phase “why do you wear a stupid rabbit costume? Why do you wear a stupid man costume?” can seem so deeply meaningful.

But really, c’mon…

Nothing but completely overhyped. Feed them something they haven’t seen and they’ll scream “art nuovo”.

Look at the guy’s other movie, Southland Tales. Even worse garbage. He got boo’ed at the independent film festival in Cannes, that’s really hard to accomplish.

@Tino311 Hi, I know you are new here and welcome, but please try not to use derogatory language that would be offensive to some people. I am referring to your use of “gay” in a pejorative sense.

@Tino311 -try to combine your multiple one line responses into one :]

Thanks for that @Marina.

@Marina

didn’t we have a thread just recently discussing how offensive the term being used in this context is?

Found it:

The Legend of Chun-Li and Punisher: War Zone… I’m not sure which was worse. Probably Punisher.

willbrawn's avatar

@Jamspoon that Chun-Li moved looked horrible!

Im gonna make a guess here and say the Dragonball movie will equally suck.

First daughter.. the one about Katie Holmes being the presidents daughter or something.. and I also saw Mad Money, which was painful to watch as well. Hmmmm…. both of these movies sucked and Katie Holmes is in both…coincidence??

marinelife's avatar

@May2689 caught? starred?

May2689's avatar

@Marina : sorry… I think im spending way too much time with my spanish speaking friends

marinelife's avatar

@May2689 La apología aceptó. Ningún problema.

@Marina : muchas gracias marina!

Yes Man and Valkyrie.

adreamofautumn's avatar

@Marina thanks! :).

On that note..(and I know i’m in the minority, i’m sorry!) I felt like I could have fallen asleep during the Dark Knight and the story wouldn’t have progressed at all. It just needed to end 40 minutes sooner and without a crappy monologue at the end to have been that much better.

This wasn’t all that recently, but when we went to see Premonition, the movie theater’s fire alarms went off 45 minutes into the movie and they had to evacuate the building – everyone else stood around and waited for rain checks, but we were just glad to be out of there. Usually I can’t leave a movie part-way through, no matter how bad it is, because I want to know what happens. That one I left and never looked back…

I’ve been having a pretty good run with my Netflix picks lately, as a matter of fact. So far in 2009 I’ve watched 28 movies and there are only four that I would never watch again:

- 88 Minutes
The Watcher in the Woods
Annie Hall
Death Proof

futurelaker88's avatar

The Rocker. that was seriously, one of the worst things ive ever seen (and not just on a screen)

May2689's avatar

@MacBean : I loved Annie Hall!!! I thought it was a great movie..

MacBean's avatar

@May2689—Yeah, I think I’m in a minority with my dislike. I liked the end, but the journey to get there wasn’t worth it. Woody Allen just isn’t my thing.

adreamofautumn's avatar

Now that I think of it, the Tattooist was really crap in my opinion. I don’t know why I sat through the whole thing…hoping it would get better I guess.
