Not really much. I’m pretty mellow. And pretty.

Homophobia sends me into attack mode.

Far from it. I’ve been desensitized to that kind of thing. That might not sound like a good thing, but I think it is. Life is too short to be easily offended. There are some things that seem to always offend me (like offensive comments about my family or my sexuality), but the list is short.

Damn right, just you asking that stupid question really pissed me off. Now I have to go hit something…........................

No, and people who are annoy me. They can be a major drain of energy.

jo_with_no_space's avatar

More so than I would like to be, but slightly less than I used to be.

@Dansedescygnes I guess you’re a pretty happy guy then huh

Essentially. I’m pretty content at this point. I mean, you’ve probably seen me get into arguments on wis.dm, obviously it’s not that nothing offends me, but I find myself less offended by things than a lot of people. Still, there are certain things that I won’t let people get away with that easily.

I’m glad yall aren’t easily offended. @jo_with_no_space i think we’re in the same boat.

Everything it seems nowadays. From jacked up “penis” trucks to homophobic or racist statements to not feeding your cat to straight up personal attacks (or what I take to be).

I’ve been hypersensitive lately…

or always.

I should probably add that when I was younger (like when I first started coming to Q&A sites, at age 14) I was pretty sensitive at least on the internet mainly because no one ever did anything offensive to me in real life. I’ve toughened up significantly, a lot of which was due to being on the internet and sites like these. Of course, being gay opens up a whole new world of things to offend me. Even things like that I try not to let get to me and am successful most of the time.

Growing up with three big brothers I developed a pretty thick skin. I am not easily offended.

There are a few things that tend to set me off.
1. People questioning the ability for me to think for myself, and being able to come up with a logical conclusion.
2. I tend to be defensive with my family. Only when people are seriously demeaning do I fight back though.
3. People who need to be right.

Other than that it is pretty much free reign. Most of the time it actually depends on my mood whether I feel like being argumentative, since I have a very laid back personality.

@jo_with_no_space lol hey now. i have a large range of what I think is entertainment

The only thing that offends me is when someone tries to change my opinions. If you correct me in something factual, thank you. If you try, in any way, to make me believe what you want rather than what I want, I will be very unhappy.

evelyns_pet_zebra's avatar

I have to agree with Eambos on this one.

People who refuse to rationally defend a position by claiming it’s their “opinion” or “belief” offend me. A little. Well, they annoy me at least. :)

lemsteve's avatar

You should have developed thick skin from that other site…

pekenoe's avatar

OK, now that I’ve had a bit to think about it, guess I’m not easily riled. Actually, life is way to short to devote much of my ambition to worthless tasks like getting pissed.
