Spoiler alert!!! Do not read if you haven't seen the latest episode of House!

Asked by KalWest (1389points) April 6th, 2009

Those of you who saw this evening’s episode of “House MD” – do you believe Kutner’s death was a suicide?

Talk about putting a spoiler out there without any warning. Can you take this back quick and relabel it?

KalWest's avatar

oh my gosh – sorry!!!

Jeruba's avatar

Flag your own question? Ask mod to let you add spoiler warning?

I think it will creep back up later in the season and be revealed as a murder. Who knows though. Something will definitely creep back up about it because nothing is ever left open like that on House unless it will reappear later. Do you know why he left the show? Or was he fired?

Jeruba's avatar

No, you have to take the spoiler out of the question itself!—anyone who sees the alert also sees the spoiler. The spolier should be inside where you don’t see it unless you choose to.

KalWest's avatar

@Jeruba
shoot – it won’t let me edit it anymore

WHAT THE FUCK, DUDE.

Spoilers go AFTER THE JUMP.

Thanks. A. Fucking. Lot.

MODS. Serious.

He did not intend to spoil the show for anyone… quit criticizing and answer the question please.

@asmonet
I apologize. It was an oversight – which was quickly fixed. However – Jeez – calm down!

filmfann's avatar

House has to figure out a puzzle. Must be a murder, even if Kumar pulled the trigger.

filmfann's avatar

I am sure this will be on AOL’s top five tomorrow morning anyway…

KalWest's avatar

@filmfann
I’m thinking that Taub knows something about it

asmonet's avatar

@BBSDTfamily: Sorry, not everyone waits for a show eagerly and gets spoiled on a completely unrelated website due to a ridiculous oversight. I posted before it was edited, and have since moved on. Keep the attitude to yourself.

RedPowerLady's avatar

It was a good one for sure. I agree that since it’s a puzzle for house it’ll have to be solved. One way or the other they are going to have to figure out the “why” of it. Or ultimately figure out that it can’t be figured out, lol. It wouldn’t surprise me if another cast member was in on it somehow and got kicked off the show. That way House has to hire again for the new season.

filmfann's avatar

At the end of last week’s episode, House entered the elevator, and for just a second you see his vision blurs, and the show ends. Could this be one of House’s dreams?

RedPowerLady's avatar

@filmfann Now that would be totally annoying! LOL

BBSDTfamily's avatar

@filmfann I think you could be right…. I hope not though. Not saying I’m glad about Kutner’s death, but I think if it was a dream that should have been revealed at the end of tonight’s show. I hope they don’t drag it out.

Dog's avatar

@filmfann Welcome to fluther!

I only saw the first 18 minutes due to cable going out but it was enough. I would like to think it was a dream.

shadling21's avatar

I don’t think it’s a dream. Too much relationship progression between Thirteen and Foreman. Why would House dream that up?

I agree with @BBSDTfamily. If it was a dream, I doubt they’d drag it past an episode, or they’d make it clear that it’s a two-parter and conclude it there. The whole dream story thing has been done to death.

Love Kutner, though. Too bad he’s gone. What a great job Penn did… I fully believe that he’d commit suicide. He was a dork, but there was a heaviness about him.

KalWest's avatar

OK! Kal Penn asked to leave the show… he’s going to work in the White House.

The way I see it our President is responsible for Kutner’s suicide. * grin *

@Dog
lol… I like this guy – Kal. I like that name too

I was so depressed when this happened. At least now I get why he’s off the show. Couldn’t have had a better reason than going to work for Obama.

YARNLADY's avatar

I’m not a big follower of the show, but I believe it looked and sounded a lot like a dream sequence to me.

asmonet's avatar

Ha! He’s coming to hang out in my neck of the woods. I must now go stalk him in DC.

kenmc's avatar

I guess we won’t be getting a third “Harold and Kumar” movie.

As an act of contrition for my unforgivable callousness in not initially “spoiler alerting” this question last night – I have donated to “Doctors Without Borders.” I hope I will be forgiven by those who were negatively affected by my thoughtless, careless, senseless, frivolous, reckless action.

filmfann's avatar

Is that the charity to help physicians without a local bookstore?

KalWest's avatar

@filmfann
hahahah – (took me a minute)

asmonet's avatar

Forgiven. :P

KalWest's avatar

@asmonet

;-) Thanks! And I’m sorry.

I can say this seems like a good move. Bummer for the show but what an honor.

@KalWest thanks for the link.
