Several days to a couple of weeks. You may get some anxiety attacks in the meantime. Try weaning yourself off the meds more slowly.

When I was taken off of it the first time, I was advised to cut my intake in half (half of one pill) for two weeks , then take that same dosage every other day for two weeks. That helped a lot and didn’t force me to crash.

Definitely wean yourself off them by gradually decreasing the dosage and increasing the time periods between each dose. Hope that helps!

Call your doctor and tell him.

Does your doctor know? Once you are on an SSRI you don’t generally go off it except to replace it with another. However, if you do go off it you need to gradually reduce the dosage over time. Again, you should talk to your doctor, as there was a reason you were put on it in the first place.

Thanks, yes my Doctor was involved in this and it was done gradually. I still have dizziness but it is almost two weeks now. Here’s hoping.
