Do jelly beans contain animal fat?

From what I read here, I don’t think so. They are pretty much sugar, corn syurp and starch with flavorings.

I don’ know but eating lot’s of jelly beans will make you fat! :-)

I think it depends what brand of jellybeans you buy. I’m pretty sure most of them are just sugar and some kind of starch to make them gel, but there might be a few brands out there that still use gelatin. I know Jelly Belly is gelatin-free, so you’re safe with them!

It all depends on whether they contain gelatin. Gelatin does not contain animal fat, but animal bone marrow which is boiled down to create gelatin. For example that includes things like jell-o, some jelly beans, and even some candies. The bone marrow contains collagen, as does some of the animals skin. So if your vegetarian or vegan always check packaging for gelatin. More Info

I can tell you that if they are made with corn syrup they aren’t Kosher for Passover.

Ah, yes. The traditional Kosher jelly beans on the seder table. Maybe Elijah had a yen for them?
