What kind of markers are good for drawing on skin?

Asked by fundevogel (15506points) May 13th, 2009

I’ve got a pair line work tattoos that I’m not sure if I want to get developed more or not. I’d like to noodle around with them myself with markers or pens but I’m not sure what will draw well on skin. Sharpie ink tends to rub off on everything and I’d like to play around with more colorful pens or markers as well.

Am I over thinking this? Would old school crayolas get the job done?

I found temporary body markers here. Scroll 3/4 of the way down, or do a find for body markers.

Whatever you choose, make sure it says NON TOXIC! There is a brand out there that actually contributes to liver failure….. I wish I could remember the name for you.

You could use Henna

It is easy to come by and used by many cultures all over the world for body art.
And it is temporary but longish-lasting.
