Is there a way to change the speed a YouTube video runs?

Asked by Quagmire (2088points) July 28th, 2009

Can I make it run slower or faster withOUT manually moving the “dot” that moves as the video progresses?

Not through Youtube (as far as I know) but you can download it and change the speed. Firefox has various extensions that allow you to downloading streaming video.

you can download it and then on vlc (free software that plays almost ANY video or audio file you can through at it) play it back at a slower speed by presing the >> or << buttons.
to download it do this :add the word kick before youtube…like this
www.youtube.com/watch?v=D2kJZOfq7zk ————> www.kickyoutube.com/watch?v=D2kJZOfq7zk

then follow the directions, pick a format (prefferably mp4 ) click go and then right click download and do save file as…
