Why are pizza and fried chicken so good cold?

I do love cold pizza. Though I’m not sure what it is that makes it so tasty cold. Maybe because it’s so good anyway. The fried chicken I’m not so sure about cold.
I also like cold homemade tacos.

I would not say fried chicken is good cold. But, I rarely have realy fried chicken.

I look forward to cold pizza, it’s my favorite part of the day after pizza. Love it. I don’t know why it’s so delicious. It just is.

because pizza and fried chicken have so much salt and sugar in cheeses and coatings and the oil just seals all the flavor in. oil and/or salt cures the food and locks in the flavor. seems like it’s easy to eat either cold but you are heading for cardiac arrest, sorry to say. either hot or cold, it just ain’t healthy.

you can eat the two cold because it is double-cooked. you know?

It’s due to the presence of a molecular compound found in fried chicken and pizza called “leftoverium” which becomes active when the food’s temperature drops below a certain point.

This same compound can be found in spaghetti which always tastes better, reheated the following day.

I was hooked on chicken fajitas for like a year and I would always come home from a long night and be too lazy to heat it up. I made it a meal cold chicken and peppers and I used to sprinkle that really good white cheese on it too then just eat it with a fork right from the box. I loved it! my friends just looked at me with a disgusted look on their face.

I love cold pizza! It’s the only way to really enjoy it! Why? I have to say for me it’s because the cheese is kinda gritty when it’s hot. (To me it is) It’s also kinda greasy when it’s hot and messy! I only eat fried chicken hot, but then again I don’t really eat the chicken just the skin and batter!

Personally, I have always been a fan of both cold macaroni and cheese and cold banana bread.

@johnpowell The only thing that really should be hot in a taco is the meat (sounds kinky). And what’s the difference between cold meat on pizza or in a taco? Not much. Lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, salsa, sour cream, avocado… all cold. It’s good, try it. … and have you had honey on french fries yet?

I like most everything cold. Well, except for fried eggs. Hard boiled eggs are good cold, but only with really spicy hot sauce. and the farts from hot-sauce-n-eggs are foul enough to peel the paint off a battleship.

@evelyns_pet_zebra – a boiled egg with hot sauce fart. That sounds like a weapon, to me!

Pizza and fried chicken taste good hot or cold because of all that yummy fat in them.

I really like mac and cheese cold too but cold pizza is the best once warm food around!
