Yeah, its a webapp through safari, so you don’t need to jailbreak your iPod to use it.

On the topic, BeeJive is way better. Its the closest you’ll get to iChat unless Apple releases it. Google it for more info.

I’d suggest getting installer.app onto your Ipod Touch and using Apollo which is a native app for chatting.

yeah but I like meebo more thn Apollo cuz u have more options

I’d agree that the native chat clients on the iPhone are pretty shit (in my opinion). I don’t know why some people are so against webapps, especially for an application like this where you need to be connected to the internet to use it anyway. I spent a fair amount of time evaluating all the options I could find including Apollo, Mobile Chat, and all the webapps I could find on Launchrz ( http://tinyurl.com/2atwqw ). FlickIM ended up being my (web) app of choice with JiveTalk a close second. I just recently removed both Apollo and Mobile Chat from the native apps on my iphone because I was never happy with either of them.

how is flik im better then jive talk?

Well, the killer feature of FlickIM is that it has SMS notification for messages that you receive if you lock your iphone or leave safari. I think that JiveTalk supports more networks, but I really only needed .mac and AIM. They are both good though.

so does it make a noise wen u recurve a message even if ur not using safari?

If you use the SMS notification system, then yes.
