Can I have my Wii in another room?

I have a laptop hooked to a cable with the ethernet cable in the loungeroom and the cable is connected to the phone line. I have the wii console in the loungeroom and I want to move it to my bedroom without moving the laptop and the cable. Can I have the wii console in another room and still have the internet hooked up to it wirelessly? Because I dont want to move all the laptop and the cable I want to have the laptop in the loungeroom and my wii in the bedroom. I still want to have my wii hooked up to the internet.
