Watch tv on my cell phone?

Asked by aanuszek1 (2290points) October 2nd, 2009

I am a hockey nut.

Yesterday was the start of the regular season. I watched all the games on yesterday. Today is the Penguins season opener. I would be heartbroken if I was unable to watch the game. I’m not going to be at home tonight. I have considered buying a Slingbox for occasions like this, but now is too short notice. Is there any way I can watch the game live on my phone? Any kind of free service would be awesome.

I don’t know what sort of cell phone you have, but I feel like live streaming is too much data for a smooth and continuous image on a cell phone. Maybe this is a good start?

Years ago I used Sony’s ORB service. It was a pain in the rear to configure but also the best way to stream feeds from a home PC to a cell phone. no more than 200kbps was needed for a good image detail and sound. 120–130k was decent. Naturally it’s free.

For that first your cell phone should support multimedia contents and to watch TV you can contact to your telecom operator to get use this kind of live facilities.
