Fun & creative school field trip?

Asked by icehky06 (896points) October 3rd, 2009

What would be a good school fieldtrip? For a sophmore class?
Freshman year we went to Canobie Lake Park
Junior year there’s a cruise
Senior year there’s prom and some other trip

I’m looking for any ideas!

I suppose you could take them to America’s Stonehenge and have a giant class picnic. Ostensibly they would be learning about history and archeology, but probably not really.

Or you could check with the Rockingham Mall to see if they have some sort of special event going on at the time the trip would be. I don’t know any high school students who don’t like the mall.

What about a trip to a tree farm? Again the focus would be getting them out of the classroom and maybe learning some history and economics, plus food.

How big is the sophomore class? If you have a small one, you might talk to someone at the West End Studio Theatre. Their theater only seats 60.

Then in Derry there is the Robert Frost Farm Historic Site and the Adams Memorial Opera House. Maybe a day trip to Derry? Derry also has the Derry Fire Department Museum, the Taylor Sawmill Historic Site, and the Derry Museum of History.

There are similar activities in Kingston and Londonderry.

Depends where you are. If you live near Berkley you could go to their particle accelerator.
