What do I need for a blu ray player?

I have noticed that on Blu-Ray movies there is some special features on the disc that when you connect to the internet you can find more features online by using that disc. Do I need to hook up my computer to the blu-ray player to get those extra features? This is all new to me because I’m getting a blu-ray next year.

You’ll need to connect it to the internet either through cable router or wireless.
