What is a good jungle-y song I could use for my animation?

Asked by efritz (3255points) November 4th, 2009

I’m making an animation that needs jungle-themed music in the background. What are some good songs for this?

(Instrumental is preferred, but if there are words that is okay.)

I think you have to at least consider “Jungle Love” by Morris Day and the Time.

I’m not sure if you’ve got a preference on copy written material or stuff that from video games, but the intro to the first Black and White game might fit, depending on what you’re doing. Not exactly sure where you could find that, though.

The Lion Sleeps Tonight by the Tokens

I wanted to say Bungle in the Jungle by Jethro Tull but that’s not quite what you’re looking for I think.

check out flashkit forums. they have a section dedicated entirely to music loops and sounds. im sure you can find something there.

Go to this page and right-click save target: http://jansjoyousjungle.com/Jngle_01.mid

It’s a MIDI file. The site owner doesn’t seem to mind if you copy it.

For something less-obvious, yet somehow sonically fitting…

Cavern by Liquid Liquid

something from the metal gear solid 3 sound track.

(the game is set in a jungle and the music specifically composed for that by the great Harry Gregson Williams)

The intro to Breaking into Heaven by The Stone Roses would be great!
