Should I shave my Beard...

I really need to shave mine. Not bad yet but it is getting there.

Since the age of 17? Wow, I’m 24 and can’t even grow a decent mustache. I think it’s always a good idea to change things up a bit every now and then. Give a try and see how it looks for a while. If you can’t stand it, then grow yourself a new one (you lucky bastard).

maybe just do half, like this, and try it out for a month or two so you can see if you like if first.

It depends on your face. Some guys look better with a beard, some without. Hubbs can go either way and look fine. Although when he shaves his beard off he looks very young.

As long as your beard is trimmed close, and doesn’t consist of a pornstache I’d say you’re fine.

NO!! I have a beard, too and it’s who I AM. Sounds like you may be entering your ‘mid-life’ thing….watch out. I’ve had my beard for 35 years and I’m not about to change a thing. So, from one Scotsman to another….DON’T DO IT, MAN!!

Or shave some of it and make up your own style, something like these.

Personally, I like a clean face, but the decision is yours. It sounds like it’s worked for you for a lot of years. Shave it off & see how it goes. If you don’t like it, you can always grow it back.

Nah. You should keep it. A beard is like having a little pet for your face.

Keep it. My hubby has had a mustache since I met him 32 years ago, and a beard for the past 12 years.

This time of year it will keep your face warm :)

Myself, I prefer to shave, since my beard is still kind of weak in spots, especially in the ‘stache area. But beards can look good.

You’ll be amazed at the lack of response. One typical encounter: “Um, did you get a haircut?”

Try shaving half off first. see how that goes for you.

Go on one of those TV shoes where they are doing “man makeovers.” They’ll probably shave it off—and give you some new clothes and 15 min of fame. You can always grow it back.

nooo and yes, maybe. guys look so much hotter with beards. well most of them. if you think that’s what suits you best then don’t shave. if you just wanna try something new, you could always grow it out again if you don’t like it.

No abuse coming. You’re nice looking, with or without the beard. You have a good jaw line. Normally I’d say shave it, but I have to agree @ChazMaz, and say start with a goatee.

I dont think I’ll shave the beard off totally. I think I’d miss it too much! lol

If you keep the beard neat I see no reason but personal preference to shave it. If you do shave it, considering how long you have had it, prepare to be stared at. Particularly by your s/o and any children. None of them are likely to have seen you and will think you look strange til they get use to it.

Keep the beard, shave your nuts!
