What would you do in a sudden barrage of rain?

Asked by frigate1985 (927points) December 21st, 2009 from iPhone

You are walking down the street of, say, Key West. You go on a small hill overlooking a beach. Suddenly, it rains like the sky’s gone nuts. There are NO trees, a small shrub about 10’ away, and a small shop 100’ away. What would you do? (Of course, if you go to Florida, you should always have an umbrella with you :) )

Stick my tongue out.

Since the bush will not provide any reasonable protection against the rain, I would run the 100 metres to the shop, but depending on the circumstances, I might just enjoy getting wet.
and then I’d shoot a dog or two

@ragingloli We are all drunk and/or hungover from the non-stop 10k parties. Can’t you wait just a few days to answer more questions? ;)

@jonsblond if you can type that, you are not drunk enough >:D

I was thinking, ‘Pull up the bush, cover your head, and make a run for it’ :)

I would get wet. Being out in the rain is fun for me.

I love rain, and I don’t mind getting soaked.

Is there lightening? If not I would run out into the middle of the street, turn my face up to the sky, raise my arms and let it rain all over me. I love rain. And once I’m wet, once I’m soaked I will just enjoy it, revel in it, and then…. well, and then I will be very, very happy that I have a warm, dry house to come home to, with clean dry clothes to change into. I love the rain, but I’m not completely nuts.

I put the bush between me and the shop, strip down and frolic nekkid.

Living in the wet tropics makes me somewhat experienced in this sort of problem. I simply continue on original mission because I was probably all hot and sweaty to begin with and the rain will feel good and I won’t be much wetter than I was in the first place.

i dont mind getting soaked occasionally.
