Here is a quick riddle:

The man who built it never used it;
The man who bought it sold it;
And the man who used it never knew it.

What is it?

This is very bad wording. The second sentence doesn’t bear on the riddle.

Perhaps better might be:
—The man who made it sold it.
—The man who bought it never used it.
—The man who used it never knew it.
